Whisperite is hosting our first ever Erotic Romance short story writing competition.
Loosely based on our debut single by a similar name, the “Love Story for a Fiction” contest builds a bridge between authors and musicians, and showcases the work of Washington and Oregon romance authors. The grand prize winner receives $1000 cash, with 13 total cash prizes available.

RULES
- Works must be previously unpublished
- Only open to residents of Washington and Oregon
- One submission per person
- Winning submissions (including runner ups) may be published by Whisperite on our webpage, in physical print, or in other places. We retain exclusive rights to submitted stories until 12-01-2027, after which they can be republished by the author
- NO infidelity, pedophilia, bestiality, incest, rape as titillation, necrophilia, underage sex, or depraved acts. No books from a series started elsewhere or previously published books. No plagiarism! No song lyrics or copyright material, except from Whisperite songs. No AI generated stories. We are not currently seeking any sweet romance.
- Authors must be over the age of 18 to submit
- Friends and family of Whisperite are disqualified from winning, along with any judges for the contest
- Due to the nature of volunteer judging, we can only accept a maximum of 50 submissions.
